Here are a few of the practical advantages of a scarf when traveling. I recommend a 36” square scarf as it is large enough to be most useful but doesn't take much room.
- Protects the neck on drafty planes
- Keeps the hair contained on convertible rides
- Doubles as headband or hair accessory
- Acts as a shawl (if 36” or larger)
Needless to say, stylish advantages are a boon when traveling. Who hasn't felt frumpy when jetlagged? A scarf can show off where you have been, complement your outfit, and accent your eye color, all without benefit of a good night's sleep and a hot shower! Don't be surprised when fellow travelers comment on your lovely scarf.
